These Terms & Conditions apply to all services and products offered by RedLibrary, including but not limited to certified data wiping and destruction, IT support, hardware sales, training, and consultancy.
• Devices are processed either by wiping or destruction.
• Each qualifying item receives a Certificate of Data Destruction. These are non-transferable, timestamped, and verifiable using a serial and verification key.
• Customers must send items via tracked post. Return shipping is only included with premium services.
• We are not liable for in-transit damage unless RedLibrary arranged the courier. Insured postage is strongly recommended.
• Devices with low-capacity storage (e.g., SSDs ≤64GB, HDDs <300GB, or memory cards ≤64GB) may be destroyed even if wiping was purchased, at no extra cost.
• Processing takes approximately 10–14 business days from receipt to return dispatch.
• We reserve the right to refuse service for any item or customer, including hazardous or irreparable devices, or those without adequate documentation.
• All pre-owned hardware sold by us is tested, verified, and securely wiped.
• A 30-day functional warranty applies from delivery.
• Returns are accepted for faults not caused by misuse, modification, or accidental damage.
• Cosmetic defects are not covered unless they affect usability.
• Remote support, malware removal, and software setup are covered by a 6-month warranty if:
- No third-party system changes were made after service
- The issue is reproducible and linked to our work
• Follow-up support may require remote access with consent.
• This excludes user error, new malware, or third-party interference.
• Certificates are issued upon completion or successful device processing.
• These are non-transferable and may show identifying details (e.g., name, date of birth).
• Verification is possible using a secure serial + key system.
• We may revoke or amend certificates if errors are found.
• Devices submitted without resale value or donated for destruction may be refurbished, resold, or recycled.
• Ownership transfers to RedLibrary upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We operate a registered office for correspondence or appointments.
• Our Processing Centre is not available to the public. Drop-offs and visits are not permitted at this location.
• Free local collection is available for donations within 20 miles of Scunthorpe, subject to availability.
All code, systems, certificates, and site content are the exclusive intellectual property of RedLibrary, unless otherwise specified.
• Redistribution, reverse engineering, or unauthorized reuse is forbidden.
• All service-generated materials (e.g., certificates, invoices) are for client use only.
• Automated data scraping, probing, or unauthorized access is strictly prohibited.
• Use of this site constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
• Services are provided on a best-effort basis unless otherwise agreed.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including data or device damage unless caused by proven fault.
• Customers are advised to back up data before submitting devices.
• For devices with non-removable storage, please disable passwords or locks before sending.
